Just thought I'd slip from the shadows and pop into the light quickly to post this.

Scholastic and Bloomsbury just released the final cover art for Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows, the 7th and final installment in the series:

US Edition dust jacket

UK Edition

The Bloomsbury edition runs 608 pages, and the inside flap summary reads:

Harry has been burdened with a dark, dangerous and seemingly impossible task: that of locating and destroying Voldemort’s remaining Horcruxes. Never has Harry felt so alone, or faced a future so full of shadows. But Harry must somehow find within himself the strength to complete the task he has been given. He must leave the warmth, safety , and companionship of The Burrow and follow without fear or hesitation the inexorable path laid out for him…

In this final, seventh installment of the Harry Potter series, J.K. Rowling unveils in spectactular fashion the answers to the many questions that have been so eagerly awaited. The spellbinding, richly woven narrative, which plunges, twists and turns at a breathtaking pace, confirms the author as a mistress of storytelling, whose books will be read, reread and read again.

Arthur Levine, Harry Potter book editor, said on Today that he only wasn't in tears at the end, he "sobbed."

Man. Can't wait.
  • he sobbed because it's the end HP series or because of the content or both!

    Can't wait too!
  • Hay nako, that's it. I'm pre-ordering this from Amazon.
  • Oh look... a circular portal-type thing. I wonder if they find Sirius Black on the other side?

  • All I'm saying is that if Severus Snape dies, there will be mourning in this household. And copious tears shed at the movies. Bwah!
